The goals of Poznan MIC
The main goals of Microsoft Innovation Center in Poznan are as follows:
- Education through remote hosting of Microsoft applications for schools and universities, as well as through trainings.
- Stimulating the development of local enterprises through advisory activities concerning increasing the security level of hosted services and through the program of security audits and trainings.
- Improving the quality level of medical care in Wielkopolska through perfecting a secure remote medical tele-consultation service.
- Assuring easy and secure access to e-services handled by local self-government entities.
- Development and dissemination of the most up-to-date multimedia technologies and solutions in Wielkopolska.
In order to realize the above, several tasks have been defined for Poznan MIC. Each task addresses a specific area associated with one of the enumerated goals.
Looking back at the results of activity of Microsoft Innovation Centers so far, it may be said that they are a kind of "technological incubators" which help to stimulate the competitiveness of local economies thanks to investing in human capital, facilitating access to knowledge and technologies and tightening the cooperation between R&D and commercial sectors.
