15.06.10A study tour visit of English scientists and businessmen
A group of entrepreneurs and representatives of universities from West Midlands (England) visited Microsoft Innovation Center in Poznań today.
An one-hour long visit in Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center - one of MIC project partners - was quite fast and filled with presentations Marek Zawadzki and Gerard Frankowski told the guests about MIC in Poznań - its history, work scope and its role in stimulating innovations in the IT area. The guests were also given the opportunity to visit PSNC server room, where the MIC cluster is installed.
The first Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) in Poland is a common project of Microsoft Corporation, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) and Poznan University of Technology (PUT).
The main goal of the center is to support innovative solutions and technologies within the area of computer security and outsourcing services.
